Mrs. Baldwin is the new principal at Whitewater Middle. She has been in the educational field for twenty-seven years. Before becoming a principal at WMS she was in the class room for fifteen years and an assistant principal for twelve years at Rising Starr Middle. She believes that Whitewater is a very nice, welcoming, and friendly school. Compared to Rising Star she thinks that Whitewater is very calm. This amazing principal went to Young Harris and UGA for two years each. She did the rest of her college work at West Georgia. In Mrs. Baldwin’s free time she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband. She also enjoys gardening and going to the beach. When asked if she would choose any other career she said, “No, I would love to teach again and love getting to know the students.”
Mrs. Smoak Mrs. Smoak grew up in Harlan County until she was seven. She then moved to Georgia. She is a mother of three children. She has been happily married for 20 years. She has two twins that go to Sara Harp Minter Elementary and a daughter that goes to Whitewater High. She has been teaching at Whitewater Middle School for 17 years. She also taught in Clayton County for 2 years. Mrs. Smoak has taught math for 16 years, and she taught Georgia History for 3 years. She taught 3rd, 5th, 7th, and now 8th grade. She also teaches Sunday school and Vacation Bible school at her church. At WMS she sponsors First Priority. She prefers teaching Georgia History more than any other subject or any other type of Social Studies. When she was younger, she wanted to be a lawyer, but decided she didn’t want to become a mean person. Her hobbies are reading, cross-stitching, playing her Nintendo DS (Brain Age), and Sudoku. In her free time she plays with her dog, Dixie, exercises, and takes care of her family. Teaching runs in her family. Her father is a teacher, and her mother is a paraprofessional.
Mrs. Broome is a teacher at Whitewater Middle. She loves to teach kids about English. She has been teaching students for sixteen years. She loves to hang out with her kids in her free time. She is very athletic, she loves to hike up mountains, ski down slopes, ski across lakes, and swim laps in pools. Before she started teaching at Whitewater she was a teacher at Love Joy Middle. When she is day dreaming she loves to imagine in the future being an administrator.
